Q & A: “Three Days and Nights of Darkness” and Why This Lie is Being Spread

Several months ago, I received an email from an individual who wanted to know what Carolyn and I think regarding a prediction of “three days and nights of gross darkness” that is supposed to be coming at some point in the unforeseen future.

The question was sent to my personal email address via the contact form on my website, and I responded with much of the following information. But since the individual mentioned Carolyn, too, I shared the email with Carolyn, and Carolyn added her own thoughts that are also reflected in this article. So, what follows are the thoughts from my original email response that has been edited to include some additional thoughts Carolyn and I had while discussing this email and the contents of the video in question.

Here is the latest video [from Linda Courtney] that someone had me watch. Let me know what you think. Only through you and Carolyn do I know anything about the Luciferian ways so I can’t pick up on wrong prophesies as easily as you two may. I just don’t think God would instill fear this way.

The Transcript

One thing Carolyn and I find helpful in situations such as these, is to write down word-for-word these so-called “words from god” that are being given by other people.

For one thing, it’s easier to see discrepancies, contradictions, and errors, which aren’t from God because God doesn’t make mistakes. Nor is there Scripture to suggest that God allows others to make mistakes when sharing a message that is inspired by His Holy Spirit … and, in fact, the exact opposite is true!

(And by “mistake,” I don’t mean accidentally stuttering over or mispronouncing a word. I mean, getting the message wrong, either in whole or in part, in letter or in spirit.)

Carolyn and I have written many times about this topic, and here are some articles to get you started:

And here are some articles written by others that speak to this very basic and important Biblical principle:

And lastly, here is an excellent paper by Paul Fahy that gives helpful techniques on studying the Bible, including how to do it, why it’s important, etc.

Please keep in mind that neither Carolyn nor I have completely read through the fullness of the material found at all the above links, and the presence of the links on this website are not to be considered as an automatic endorsement of the directors, creators, authors, and/or contributors of all the other material found on their respective websites. But I find the above individual articles to be helpful in understanding about the sufficiency of Scripture and why it is important for Christians to understand this very basic principle, and I hope you find them helpful, too.

Writing the words down also helps give a different perspective whereby we are more likely to read critically, rather than be taken in by any glamour the individual may display.

We wrote a little about glamour in our book (see Point Four of the chapter titled “Shining Ones”), and while we wrote in the context of channeling and walk-ins, the effects of a person’s “charismatic” or “charming” personality can be felt regardless of the state of their heart. But this can especially be true if the individual is being heavily influenced by the demonic in certain ways (such as channeling and walk-ins, as we wrote in our book).

So we err on the side of caution when listening to or when watching someone for the first time, and write the words down. In this way we are better able to critically examine the words and line up the message with God’s Word, cutting off the ability of the demonic to influence through the person they are using.

I’m not suggesting this will be effective for everyone, but it’s worked for Carolyn and I.

It’s especially helpful to me because I sometimes still struggle with different parts of me who have a harder time submitting to God’s will and to being obedient to His Word, and so are more likely to be influenced by false doctrine. This struggle has increasingly gotten much easier, especially over the past three years, but this is a journey of healing that I’ve already written plenty, on both this website as well as on my personal website, so I won’t detail anything more here because it’s way off topic right now.

At any rate, I wrote down Linda Courtney’s words that were channeled to her through the spiritual being she erroneously believes (or wants others to believe) to be God, Jesus, or the Spirit of God.

Please note that in this transcription, I purposefully did not capitalize “lord,” “god,” “holy spirit,” or other words that are commonly used to refer to God, Jesus, His Spirit, His Word, or other Biblically-sound concepts, simply because this is not Jesus who was speaking to Ms. Courtney. At the least, it was her own imagination, or part of a purposeful hoax meant to fool people into thinking she’s heard from God. At the worst, she was channeling a demonic being who was imitating Jesus Christ, making it to be a type of antichrist, and we refuse to give honor to a false god and to an antichrist spirit, even in a seemingly small or insignificant way.

Also note that I used parenthesis when it was clear that Ms. Courtney was adding additional information or commentary.

On March 31st, 2019, Linda Courtney said:

I am (this is what the lord god says) I am the good shepherd.

This era of time as mankind knows time is coming to its end. As of a few days from now, everything is coming to its sudden change. The time of serious transition is soon to come upon the entire earth. The scientists will call it earth or climate change. But I the lord god almighty call it my holy will and the fulfillment of my holy and most profound decrees which have been established from time immemorial.

I am the great I am. My plan shall stand. Nothing can be done by the feeble mortal hand of man to alter, hinder, or stop what I have prepared for mankind. Truly this era of mankind’s journey on earth is quickly coming to a close as I change and rearrange all things. This earth will soon enter a time of severe global darkness. People will understand as I, the almighty god, draw the curtain of black up on the planet. Those people of mine who have heard of this word will understand. I will grab the sudden attention of mankind as all the technology comes to a sudden incapacitating (I can’t say that word) incapacitating ability to function. All will be silent and mankind will be thrown into sudden disarray. They will panic as confusion sets in. Many people will lose rational thinking as the curtain of gross darkness covers the earth. I, the lord god, must do this to literally grab the attention of all the citizens of earth. My people those who know Jesus Christ as their lord and savior will be shaken far less than the sinner. They will … they will be stabilized by my holy spirit as the unction of my holy presence falls upon them. My holy spirit will calm their minds as they … as they falter for a while, gathering their wits about them. So you, my beloved children… so see (pardon) so see my beloved children, there are millions of Christians who are saved by my grace who have never heard of the days of darkness. That’s why I’m calling upon you to tell them what is just around the bend. You may approach it with scientific terms, for it will… for I will indeed “use” the natural means… I will use natural means to create this phenomenon. My planet, which many call Planet X or Nibiru or Nibiru, is stealing its way to eventually cover the earth’s sun. This planet has been observed in various places on earth at times with the naked eye. When the… when this planet covers the earth’s sun, when this occurs, I will in my great mercy hold and totally control the earth’s temperature at 55 degrees so that no man or animal will freeze.

(I’m interjecting because if a planet would cover the sun normally speaking we would be thrown into an ice age. But god himself is going to control the temperature in his mercy upon earth. The holy spirit goes on to say…)

However, cold will be felt, so gather blankets for warmth, food and water, medical needs if necessary must be at the ready. Do not discount this admonition for you will need food and water unless you choose to fast. Candles must be white and unscented. Do not question me over this. Oil lights may be used. Used refined oil as much as possible.

Listen well my beloved ones, I am your holy father in heaven. You have no earthly holy father. The pope of Rome is not holy. For I alone am holy. These days of gross darkness are my great act of mercy to get the full attention of mankind. It is at that time that many of the world’s false gods will fall. Those who worship any false god will have the blinders removed and they will be able to choose me as lord god and savior if they so desire. The ultimate choice will still be theirs as I force no one to surrender to me.

Listen further my beloved ones. Immediately before this darkness falls, the earth will quake. The earth will quake as it groans for the manifestation of the sons of god. In many places there will be actual earthquakes occurring. The darkness descends … as the dark– the darkness descends and there will be majestic displays in the cosmos. I, the lord god almighty, the lord Jesus Christ, god in the flesh, will rearrange the skies for mankind to see the glorious colors and the deep blood red as the colors wander around the earth. They will see this phenomenon that has never been seen before. I have reserved it for this time. Planet X will bring with it a great.. will bring with it great earth changes as the atmosphere will be charged with electricity. This will not hurt or kill mankind, but this is something they can see as the discharge will be intense.

When these changes begin to occur in the heavens, you are to notify your loved ones immediately. They are to drop whatever they’re doing and immediately come to their home. It is (now listen … important) it is best if family members can be together in the home of one of the believers in Yeshua Jesus Christ. This is why I desire that you tell them beforehand what’s coming to the earth so they are willing to cooperate with you when the time arrives. Otherwise, they will call you crazy and not come into the home.

(Interjecting. In other words when the skies… we see like the aurora borealis or the bright red stripes in the sky, and we see the lightening out of season and we see all this cosmic display, and we call our loved one and we say “hey this is the time, come, it’s gonna turn dark in a day or two or whatever, you better get into my home with me,” they’re gonna say, “are you kidding, this is just an earth change, yeah the scientists they say the earth is gonna go through changes so just, you’re crazy, you’re crazy.” So this is why we’re supposed to tell our people beforehand. Getting on with the word from the lord.)

I desire you to alert them now for their sake. During this three day a period, three days and nights of darkness, many unsaved people will truly receive Yeshua Jesus Christ as their savior if you have laid a good foundation.

(So now’s the time for us to be the evangelist, not to wait until the darkness falls cause then it will be too late. We won’t be able to go out of our homes so now’s our time. Getting on with the word of the spirit of god.)

As you enter your home, I admonish you to cover your windows and do not look out at all. Period. Don’t look out at all. Lock your doors and do not open them to anyone. Why, you ask? My beloved children, I will tell you why. It’s during this time I will allow hordes of demons to roam the entire earth. People from all nationalities will be aware of this, and many will die from fear and demonic torment or attack. Also, the seas will roar and great will be the changes that torment sinful mankind.

For my beloved children, those in their homes during this time, if you obey my instructions I will send legions of my holy angels to protect you. Do not fear.

Throughout the earth as all electronics cease, you will have nowhere to turn but to me, the true and only god of endless ages. Pray without ceasing. Pray in the spirit. Trust in me and I will carry you through. Please be aware that during this time, the resurrection of the dead will take place. As the graves of the righteous dead will explode around the entire globe. Simultaneously during this time, many but not all of my living saints will be transformed by my power and majesty. My children who know me as their lord and savior but who are living in sin and willful disobedience will be left behind. That is a… that choice is up to them. So the choice to either obey god now or disobey and be left behind.

My beloved children, you ask me why would I allow such a time as this. If you have studied my holy word, you would understand why I will do this. My beautiful earth has become polluted, not so much by man-made chemical emissions, but rather by… but rather my earth has been totally polluted by the filth and degradation of mankind’s sins. By the sins of mankind. Sin is destroying mankind and my earth is suffering also. So I am bringing an end to mankind’s rule on the planet. Down through the 6000 years since I created your planet until now, my creation, human beings, have been hell-bent upon making bad choices, called sins. These sins are now destroying my earth. I am going to personally intervene. I will soon implement my plan which will save mankind from total destruction for my word says for the elect’s sake I will cut the days short. Also, my intervention, intervention will save my earth from (I read that part), I love my creation and my plan for the earth which I have created is yet to be fulfilled. After all is said and done, my earth will be given another thousand years in which to … in which the glory and beauty will not only be restored but will be multiplied as my saints rule with me a thousand years. Read my word dear ones. Read my Scriptures and I will give you understanding. Trust me my beloved children. I will never leave or forsake you. I will be near to each one of my people who call on me for I am a god of perfect love, mercy, and grace.

I am Yeshua Jesus Christ the lord. The end.

Transcription of the “Three Days of Gross Darkness” prediction as made public on March 31st, 2019 by Linda Courtney via her YouTube channel

And here is the video where you can hear for yourself what Ms. Courtney has to say . The words we are concerned with in this article begin around the 2:41 mark and end at the 16:48 mark.

(If you find that any part of our transcript is not a correct representation of Ms. Courtney’s words that begin around the 2:41 mark and last until about the 16:48 mark, please share with us the corrected version in the comments section below, making note of the timestamp, so that we can correct this blog article. Thank you! 😊 )

Regarding Luciferian Ways and Wrong Prophecies

The individual who emailed me wrote: “Only through you and Carolyn do I know anything about the Luciferian ways so I can’t pick up on wrong prophesies as easily as you two may.”

Carolyn and I understand what the writer was trying to say. It can be helpful for others to spot and point out deception to us, because we don’t always have the understanding of what to avoid if we have no experience with it. And that is one of the main reasons for this website, after all: to point out and warn others of deception by exposing Lucifer’s (Satan’s) plans within Christianity.

And later in this blog article, I will be explaining how the demonic use these types of lies (such as “three days of darkness”) to bring deception. I believe it’s important to understand so as to avoid falling for such deceptions that have been planned for the future.

With those things said, though, I have to remind you that the best way to pick up on wrong prophecies (or to pick up on anything that doesn’t line up with God’s Word) is not to have knowledge of Luciferian ways and plans, but to have knowledge of God’s ways and plans.

We separate the truth from the lie not by studying and becoming intimately familiar with the lie, but by becoming intimately familiar with the truth.

Consider Matthew 7:13-14:

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus Christ is the only Way to the Father, and we can’t find Jesus Christ by searching for Satan/Lucifer.

Jesus Christ is Truth, and we can’t find truth by studying and chasing after lies.

But Carolyn and I have witnessed an increasing number of professed Christians make this very mistake! God delivered me from the ungodly mindset that I had fallen prey to as well, so I’m not poking fun, but I am speaking from my own painful experiences.

For example, Carolyn and I have seen many self-proclaimed Christians who have been fooled into thinking there is some sort of “spiritual law” that states that the demonic and occult groups (from what we’ve heard, people most often claim it’s the Illuminati) are obligated, because of this so-called “spiritual law,” to tell the general public about their plans before they are allowed to implement those plans.

This is a false assumption, but people fall for it anyway because they don’t consider the source …

(the “source” is usually from the imagination of a mystic-minded “Christian,” or from the mouth of a so-called “ex-Illuminati member,” or from an occult book, or something similar)

… and they haven’t studied the Bible to see if it’s true.

(As Christians, our source for any spiritual truth should be the Word of God. Not demons, not “ex-Illuminati,” not mystics, not occult books; not the many plans of the enemy, that many Christians research in order to find “truth”. But the Word of God is our source for truth.)

As a result, in order to “stay ahead of the game” or in order to be “in the know” about Satan’s plans, those people begin spending an inordinate amount of time studying the occult and the ways of the world, rather than studying God’s ways and His plans that are found within the pages of His Word (the Bible). Eventually they are drawn deeper into the occult, get sucked deeper into the so-called “truths” of Satan’s lies, lose themselves into more and more “Christian” mysticism, and ultimately, they turn away from the truth of God and embrace the lies of Satan.

But we are led by the Spirit of God not by following other spirits and seeking “truth” from them, but by reading His Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our understanding, leading us into Truth!

Please consider the words I wrote some time back on a blog on my personal website:

I’ve watched many people get caught up in researching and seeking and probing into the Satanic underground, looking for answers, looking for the truth

(why do you think you can find the truth where lies are crafted?)

and then get sucked into that proverbial rabbit-hole, unable to pull themselves back to what really matters in life.

(hint: what really matters is a relationship with the Heavenly Father)

They seek after the lies to find the truth.

(you will never come to know the truth by studying the lie, and until you learn to recognize the truth, you will never recognize the lie)

Eventually, the rabbit hole becomes their reality, as they are drawn after deeper and greater sensationalism. Deeper and greater mysteries. Deeper and greater revelations.

Let me remind you that Satan’s lies are plentiful and his plans are many. There is no need to spend an inordinate amount of time searching them out, because they will practically knock down your front door, regardless of whether you are looking for them or not. But God’s Word is Truth. So make it a habit to seek after and study God’s ways, not Satan’s (Lucifer’s) ways, and in this way, you will be better equipped to recognize those lies that try to crash through your door.

Reminder: when I say “study God’s ways,” I do not mean “go to YouTube and listen to someone talk about their latest so-called ‘dream from god’ they had.”

I do not mean, “peruse social media and read posts about so-and-so’s latest so-called ‘word from god’ they got that morning.”

I do not mean, “pick up a book and read someone’s account of their spiritual experiences of being taken to a so-called ‘heavenly place.'”

I do not mean, “listen to someone talk about their latest supposed ‘trip to heaven.'”

But I mean: “pick up the Bible and study it.

Being aware of the wiles of the enemy (Satan) is important, I agree. And it’s important to be able to have someone help us see those things that we can’t see ourselves. But what is more important is being properly educated on the written Word of God (the Bible). This is why Carolyn and I do our best on our blogs to not only point out and warn against that which is of Satan, but to then point people in the right direction, and to do our best to explain why one thing or the other is not Scriptural.

But if we, as Christians, are studying more of Satan’s ways and his plans rather than God’s ways and His plans, that is an indication that something is wrong. If we are talking more about Satan’s ways and his plans than God’s ways and His plans, that is an indication that something is wrong. If we get a thrill more out of seeking after the sensational than seeking His Word, that is an indication that something is wrong. If we are more interested in having a relationship with or receiving messages from a so-called “angel or messenger from God” rather than a relationship with the Father Himself, that is an indication that something is wrong.

It can sometimes feel like a balancing act, between pointing out the danger and pointing to the Truth, and I don’t know if we always get it right, but we do our best to stay vigilant.

And I’m just urging you, dear reader, to do the same: just be vigilant.

Regarding Linda Courtney’s Video

In this video, Ms. Courtney is sharing her viewpoint concerning “eschatology,” which is basically defined as “the branch of theology that is concerned with the end of the world or of humankind.”

This is a topic that for centuries has had many Christians and non-Christians alike bickering back and forth about exactly when the “end of the world” will take place, what will happen during and around this period of time (that some call “The Great Tribulation”), or even if it’s already happened.

The biggest problem with Ms. Courtney’s prediction of “three days and nights of gross darkness” is that there is no eschatological prophecy in Scripture that says there will be three days and nights of darkness (gross, or otherwise) during or around this period of time commonly known as “The Great Tribulation.”

(As always, however, if you, the reader, know of Scripture that says otherwise, then please share it with me, either in the comments section below or via our contact form. I’m interested in studying those verses for myself and, if necessary, amending this blog article and my personal beliefs to line up with the Word of God.)

The idea of “three days and nights of darkness” has historically been a Roman Catholic view, although I’m sure not every Catholic has heard of or believes this “prophecy”, and from my limited research, it appears that even the Roman Catholic Church itself has not officially recognized the idea of “three days and nights of darkness” as being a true prophecy.

But Anna-Maria Taigi, a Roman Catholic, is purported to have been an early proponent of such, as is Johannas Friede, Gaspar del Bufalo, and Marie de la Faudais, all also Roman Catholics. According to some, Marie-Julie Jahenny also “prophesied” about three days and nights of darkness.

An internet search on “three days of darkness” reveals some interesting finds that parallel what Ms. Courtney says, so it’s possible that she has come from a Roman Catholic background or has previously studied the subject, although I have no way of knowing one way or the other, of course.

Regardless of her religious affiliation or of her prior knowledge of the topic, it appears to us that Ms. Courtney has taken a topic that is of great interest to her, and is taking a verse here and a verse there, squishing them together, and extrapolating a viewpoint that fits what she already believes to be true.

Unfortunately, this has become a common practice among many self-professing Christians.

But Ms. Courtney’s personal eschatological doctrine (that she has made very public via her YouTube channel) is based on something that is not Scriptural.

Will there be three days and nights of darkness at any point in the future?

Carolyn and I don’t know. Maybe there will be.

But Scripture does not say that there will be, and to claim that it does is wrong. And to claim “God told me so” is heretical.

This is a very important point that Carolyn and I have tried to emphasize in our writings, over and over again, but it bears repeating: when God speaks to us, He will always and forever line up with His Word. There are NO exceptions.

(Please read the articles I linked to above for a fuller explanation of this important Biblical principle.)

What seems to be happening is that some people are taking Exodus 10:21-23

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, so that darkness may spread over the land of Egypt—a palpable darkness.” So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and total darkness covered all the land of Egypt for three days. No one could see anyone else, and for three days no one left his place. Yet all the Israelites had light in their dwellings.

Exodus 10:21-23, BSB

… and by squishing it together with and interpreting it by the light of other passages of Scripture, such as Joel 2:31

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Joel 2:31, KJV

… and Revelation 6:12-13

And when I saw the Lamb open the sixth seal, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black like sackcloth of goat hair, and the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth like unripe figs dropping from a tree shaken by a great wind.

Revelation 6:12-13, BSB

… as well as other similar verses, they are giving a meaning and current application that is completely out of context.

Some even go so far as to add Matthew 12:40 into the mix …

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Matthew 12:40, KJV

… and postulate that Scripture must be warning about three days and nights of darkness.

But Scripture does not say that.

It just doesn’t.

Assuming the passages of Scripture should be taken literally that speak to a yet-to-be-seen future event where the sun will turn dark …

(and we believe they probably are literal, but we aren’t arguing this point one way or the other because regardless of what anyone thinks or believes, what will happen is what God has ordained to happen, and His Will will be revealed when it is the proper time for it to be revealed, so there’s no sense in arguing about it)

… it’s true that Scripture forewarns of a specific event when the sun will turn dark, but Scripture doesn’t say how long this will last.

It could be three days, sure.

Or it could be one day, or five days, or two months, or an hour.

Nowhere in Holy Scripture are we told the duration of this future and apocalyptic event. Yet, Ms. Courtney (and others) would have us believe that God has now decided to reveal to her (and to others) this important detail that He left out the first time around.

Nowhere in Holy Scripture are we warned to use the proper color, type, or scent (or non-scent) of candles during this worldwide and future apocalyptic event. Yet, Ms. Courtney (and others) would have us believe that God has now decided to reveal to her (and to others) this important detail that He left out the first time around, punctuated with a dire admonition to “not question me about this.”

Nowhere in Holy Scripture has God warned us to lock our doors and to not even look out the windows during this future apocalyptic event, warnings that are meant to protect us from the terror of the demons that are supposed to be roaming free during this time (suggesting that demons do not roam free now … which is an absolutely incorrect and very foolish suggestion, and is contradictory to God’s Word). Yet, Ms. Courtney (and others) would have us believe that God has now decided to reveal to her (and to others) this important detail that He left out the first time.

Furthermore (and perhaps most alarming to us), Ms. Courtney would have us believe that God wants her and others to alert everyone to the details of this important event “for their sake,” because according to the message Ms. Courtney channeled, “many unsaved people will truly receive Yeshua Jesus Christ as their lord and savior” if Ms. Courtney and others have been good evangelists and have “laid a good foundation” with their warnings of three days of darkness.

Not to evangelize by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

But to evangelize about the three days of darkness.

And this all-important instruction that is supposed to be so vital to the eternal salvation of the souls of many (an assertion that is in appalling and obvious conflict with Scriptural) was left out of God’s Word the first go-around, and just recently revealed to Ms. Courtney (never mind the centuries of mystics who have channeled a similar narrative).

See the term “Mystic” in our glossary.

We want to remind you that trying to extrapolate a meaning from Scripture that is outside of the actual given meaning

(to unwisely use an unreliable eisegesis instead of a reliable exegesis)

… trying to squish those verses together with other verses that are being misinterpreted and misapplied, trying to force Scripture to line up with our personal beliefs concerning eschatology, trying to interpret Scripture through the lens of our interest in various sensational topics or our personal superstitions or our personal philosophies, etc., is not wise in the least.

This is not being led by the Spirit of God! This is not how God speaks! Using Scripture as one would a deck of tarot cards is not of God!

Therefore, since Scripture doesn’t say how long the sun will be darkened on that preordained day in the future, we shouldn’t make something up to fit what we believe is true, and then, even worse, go on to commit heresy by telling other people that God said so, resulting in others being led down the same path of destruction as we.

Who should we believe? Scripture? Or Linda Courtney?

Linda Courtney may say that “God says,” but what does Scripture say that God says?

Don’t be misled by charlatans. Those who blindly follow the many charlatans who are spouting false prophecies and spreading false doctrines are horribly negligent in their Christian duty to compare all things with the Word of God, and in their negligence, they are keeping Satan’s plan alive and swiftly moving along.

It’s important enough that God gave us His directions in His Word, and since we know where those directions are found, that is where we should lay our trust.

Additional Points

There are other discrepancies and unbiblical things said/written, and although we could point out many, here are a few, as examples.

Ms. Courtney’s says that the spiritual being she channeled said: “As of a few days from now everything is coming to its sudden change,” and the message was uploaded and shared to YouTube on March 31st 2019.

As of this writing, we are well into September of 2020.

That is much more than a “few days.”

And trying to misinterpret and misapply God’s Word (such as Psalm 90:4 or 2 Peter 3:8) to justify one’s own incorrect timeline, is not Scriptural.

Or trying to say, as Ms. Courtney did in a comment on this very video in question (see screenshot below), something to the effect of, “God’s timing is different than ours,” or some other similar sentiment meant to excuse the blatant error that screams “FALSE PROPHET!” won’t work either.

“Aslo, in the prophecy where the Holy Spirit say … “in a few days…” remember GOD’S TIMING is not the same as our. To Him a few days could mean months.” Linda Courtney

Someone may need to remind Ms. Courtney that God created time.

If God explicitly said “three days and nights of darkness will occur,” why would He not be explicit with the timing of this event? In other words, why is the timeline literal for “three days” but not literal for “a few days from now”? And if, as Ms. Courtney said, to God “a few days could mean months,” then how long is the three days and nights of darkness really going to last? Could that go on for several months, and not actually three days?

The singular answer to all these questions, of course, is that it was not God who gave Linda Courtney this message, but a demonic being, and Ms. Courtney’s scramble and dancing around the obvious problem as a useless attempt to cover up and excuse her own false prophecy — her “False Prophet Shuffle” — is so absurd and typical of false prophets and false teachers, it’s almost laughable.

(To see another example of this “False Prophet Shuffle,” see the comments section on this blog article: “False Prophets and the Great Tsunami of September 2019.”)

I’m not laughing, though. The level of deception and delusion I see people like Ms. Courtney — self proclaimed Christians! — operating from is very concerning. We pray that the Spirit of God will soon cause the scales to fall off of their eyes and that they would repent and come to salvation.

To reiterate, Ms. Courtney (through the spiritual being she was channeling) says this plan of the three days and nights of total darkness is going to save mankind (and earth) from total destruction and from sin.

This is not Scriptural.

She (and the spiritual being she channeled) completely discounts the finished work of Jesus Christ to save us from our sin, and the future work of Jesus Christ to destroy all the works of the enemy!

Carolyn and I wrote about this all throughout our book, most notably in the “Shining Ones” section.

In her automatic writing, as well as in her commentary on the video, Ms. Courtney mentions the “manifest sons of god” doctrine (she also refers to it as “the transformed saints of god”), which is an occult teaching (in other words, it is a Luciferian/Satanic doctrine) that Carolyn and I have already written about extensively in our book and on our websites.

(See: Shining Ones)

The spiritual being Ms. Courtney channeled is contradictory in his message.

First he says (emphasis mine):

“I the lord god almighty, the lord Jesus Christ, god in the flesh, will rearrange the skies for mankind to see the glorious colors and the deep blood red as the colors wander around the earth. They will see this phenomenon that has never been seen before. I have reserved it for this time. Planet X will bring with it great earth changes as the atmosphere will be charged with electricity. This will not hurt or kill mankind, but this is something they can see as the discharge will be intense.”

But then he goes on to say (emphasis mine):

“As you enter your home, I admonish you to cover your windows and do not look out at all.”

Maybe I’m the only one confused here, but which is it? Does he want people to see the “glorious” display or does he not? Or is it only the darkness he doesn’t want people to see?

Whatever the case, since mankind’s salvation supposedly hinges on this event (according to Linda Courtney and the demonic being she is channeling), I would think that a little clarification would be in order.

The spiritual being that Ms. Courtney is channeling says that during the three days and nights of darkness he will keep the earth’s temperature at 55 degrees.

This makes no sense whatsoever, and is an event that is only needed if one considers to be true Ms. Courtney’s reason for the sun going dark: not a supernatural event, but a natural event of a rouge planet by the name of Planet X or Nibiru temporarily covering the face of the sun.

It doesn’t make sense that one planet eclipsing the sun, temporarily blocking light from the sun to the second planet, would cause an “ice age” on the second.

And it also doesn’t make sense that such an eclipse would last three days.

In fact, it doesn’t even make sense that such a planet as “Nibiru” actually exists, whether “concealed” behind the sun or not, as I’ve heard some people say.

And if you do just the slightest amount of research online …

(I’m not leaving links to this information because there’s a lot of contradictory material and the facts are hard to decipher, which is common with things that are associated with the occult, but you can do your own research online if you want)

… you will find that the idea behind “Planet X” started in the 1990’s and appears to have originated from an occultist by the name of Nancy Lieder, owner of “zetatalk.com.”

At some point, “Planet X” became associated with the fictitious planet “Nibiru,” the idea of which apparently came from Zecharia Sitchin in 1976.

Lieder was/is involved in channeling messages about this “Planet X/Nibiru” and other sensational topics, much like Linda Courtney and other mystic/charismatic-minded types of “Christians.” Since then, sensation-seeking Christians (self-proclaimed Christians, at any rate) have grabbed hold of the occult-based theory about Nibiru/Planet X, and have spread it around as if it’s a “revelation from God” or a “true prophecy” that everyone should heed. Of course, many of the “prophecies” are contradictory, but that doesn’t stop them….

This is an alarming trend within many so-called “Christian” groups: take something from the occult and claim it came from God.

They will sometimes say they do this because they believe that “God has a truth for every counterfeit that comes from Satan,” or something similar. Or they might say they are “taking it back for God.”

(To read a little more about these ideas, see the terms in our glossary, “Spiritual battle and spiritual warfare” and “Don’t put God in a box.”)

And so, by their “logic,” they study Satan’s ways to find out about God’s ways.

But God never had any part of the occult, so there’s no “taking it back for” Him.

And I’ll repeat it again: you can’t learn God’s ways by studying Satan’s ways.

Here’s what Scripture says:

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

Isaiah 5:20 and 1 John 1:5, KJV

The message Ms. Courtney channeled included this blatantly unbiblical sentence:

My children who know me as their lord and savior but who are living in sin and willful disobedience will be left behind.

Putting aside arguments about the allusion to the rapture, God’s children do not live in sin and willful disobedience.

Christians can sin, yes, but we do not live in sin. Read 1 John 2:1 to start, but there are tons of passages in Scripture that speak to this principle!

And, if we continue to walk contrary to God’s ways (being willfully disobedient in spite of knowing the truth) and abhor the truth of His Word, we will fall from God’s grace and into delusion.

This is a Godly principle that is spoken of all over the Bible, but one Scripture says:

Watch yourselves, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be fully rewarded. Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:8-9, BSB

And this Scripture says:

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

1 Corinthians 10:12, NKJV

And here’s another one:

Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing.

2 Peter 3:17, BSB

And another:

You who are trying to be justified by the law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

Galatians 5:4, BSB

(all emphasis on specific wording is mine)

And read Hebrews 4:1, and Romans 11:20, and Colossians 2:8… the list goes on!

If we live in sin and walk in willful disobedience to God, we cannot be called His children.

But the type of wrong thinking that is encouraged by lies such as what Ms. Courtney is spreading has a tendency to lead Christians into incorrectly thinking that they can’t be fooled, tricked, and deceived by the demonic, and fall from grace.

Even Jesus warned his disciples to not be deceived! So why should any of us think we are impervious to being tricked and led by Satan and the demonic?

From the regrettable experiences Carolyn and I have both had in working alongside the demonic, Linda Courtney’s message that she channeled sounds exactly how the demonic proclaim their deceptive messages.

For example:

  • There is a continuous mentioning of who is supposedly speaking, using biblical-sounding words such as “I, the lord god,” or “holy father” or “I am” in order to “sound Biblical” and to be received as “being Biblical.”
    • Carolyn and I have noticed that “I am” is a buzzword/code word used often by people who are seeking after the sensational and the different types of “Christian” mysticism. It seems to be indicative of a type of programming, if you will — “I am” programming, we call it. When you hear people repeat the phrase “I am” (outside of quoting Scripture, of course, and outside of stating one’s own intention, such as “I am going to the store,” but within the context of giving an extra-biblical message that is supposedly from God), then proceed with caution. As with the name “Yeshua,” or other Hebrew words that name or give title to Jesus Christ, it’s not so much the phrase “I am” that is a red flag, but it is how the phrase is being used and why it is being used.
  • It’s common to have spiritual-sounding and pleasing phrases (“ear-tickling“) repeated throughout, such as “my beloved children” or “beloved ones”, to “sound Biblical” and to be received as “being Biblical,” as well as to be a contrast to the overall threatening tone of the message itself.
    • This contrast between the harsh message and the kinds words is very similar to how some abusers keep a firm grasp on their victims: they beat their victim, for instance, then speak soothingly and lovingly. The conflict can cause a trauma bond that serves to keep the victim tied to the abusers out of necessity of survival.
    • Additionally, this contrast is exactly how I’ve experienced in mind-control programming: the trauma of what is happening (lights, visuals, jolts of pain, confusion, fear, etc.) is in contrast to the soothing voice of the programmer, giving directions. The result is that the victim learns to dissociate from the trauma and instead listens to the soothing voice, and a trauma bond is created. I wrote some about this in the chapter in my bio titled, “Systems and the Grid.”
  • It’s also characteristic of the demonic to toss in a few words from the Bible in order to “sound Biblical” and to be received as “being Biblical.”
  • It’s common to employ either subtle threats or outright threats (or both), to believe the message as being from God, and for the hearer to accept it without questioning.
  • It’s typical that nowhere in the message is a call to true repentance, nor with what repentance is and what needs to be repented of.
  • It’s typical to have a message that does not preach of righteousness, like Noah did before the flood came.

It’s also common for the demonic to refer to sin as being something it actually is not, a redefining that is usually made very subtly. Satan deceived Eve in the very beginning with this trick.

In Ms. Courtney’s example, sin is linked to environmentalism, incorrectly and inadequately defined as simply “making bad choices,” and described as being something that is destroying the earth and mankind.

This is against Scripture.

The Bible (God’s Word, not Ms. Courtney’s word) teaches us that sin is the inherent state of every human being, it is the transgression of God’s law that we choose to break — from murder and rape, to lying and lusting — it results in us being separated us from God, and because of sin being imputed upon Jesus Christ and through the work of the Holy Spirit to convict us, we are urged to repent of our sin and cast it aside. Therefore, by the grace of God through faith, we are given the gift of salvation and the righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed upon us, canceling our inherent sinful state. If we should fall and choose to break God’s law again — lying, lusting, etc. — or fall prey to the tricks of the enemy, we can confess our sins and are assured forgiveness.

But Ms. Courtney’s channeled message subtly redefined sin, softening the actual meaning, and put the focus not on Jesus Christ as being the cure for our innate sin-disease and a future regeneration of the earth, but upon “three days of gross darkness” as being the cure and the salvation of mankind and of the earth itself.

Ms. Linda Courtney is not hearing and sharing from the Spirit of God.

She is clearly occupied with the occult. She’s channeling demons and engaged in automatic writing, which are common occult activities that anyone can do if they open themselves up to the influence of the demonic.

She may not realize these things. In other words, she may be one of the “unconscious” occult infiltrators that Carolyn and I have written about …

(See: “Classification of Christian Witches)

… but she is a type of “christian” occultist, nonetheless, who is engaged in automatic writing; who is twisting and misusing Scripture to conform to her own ideas about the end times (that are historically ideas from Roman Catholic “mystics” that are not founded on the truth of God’s Word); and who is so focused on and enamored by “end-time prophesy” as well as by many different sensational topics, that she can’t see the truth of the whole of the Word of God.

Now, we realize that it’s possible that she’s making everything up after having done some research on the topic.

We understand it’s even possible that she has some sort of mental illness that has contributed to her delusional thinking, to her inability to properly discern Scripture, and to her inability to discern right from wrong, or to even discern what is logical from that which is illogical.

But we tend to believe what people say about themselves in situations like this, and so we do believe Ms. Courtney when she says that she “heard” this message and wrote it down.

But in comparing the message that she received to the Word of God, it’s clear that she did not hear and share from the Spirit of God, but from another spirit that is from the antichrist spirit, and sadly, it’s clear that she is being used as a servant of Satan to carry his poison to infect others.

Sad, too, is that in scrolling through the comments on Ms. Courtney’s YouTube channel, some have warned her that she and her message is not of God, but unfortunately, as of this writing, it appears she has dug in her heels and refuses to heed the warnings.

We hope that changes.

We hope she repents and publicly admits and apologizes for her error.

We know this isn’t easy, as we have had to do the same, but we have prayed for her to do just so, because it is what is right.

But in the meantime, please mark her well, and others like her, and stay away from her false teachings.

(As examples of this Biblical principle, see: Matthew 7:15, Romans 16:17-18, Galatians 1:6-9, Titus 3:10-11, 2 John 1:9-11, etc.)

A Warning About Deception and How it Works Within Satan’s Spiritual Hierarchy

It’s important to explain why Satan and the demonic put out the types of information (deceptions and lies) that circulate within Christian circles, such as with the “three days and nights of gross darkness,” because he does things like this, over and over again, with every single deception, and so many Christians fall for it, mostly (in our observation and personal experiences) because they fail to line things up with the properly exegeted Word of God.

First, though, I want to quickly reiterate that you don’t actually need to be aware of how Satan’s plan works. As noted before, all you truly need to be aware of is the Truth of God’s Word; and then, Satan’s deceptions will be clear to you. However, since Carolyn and I have experiences with having been a part of working within Satan’s hierarchy, and since some people need further explanation in order to understand how horribly they have gone astray and are walking on dangerous ground, so to speak, in their dealings with occult matters, we believe it can be helpful to share a certain amount of detail regarding how the demonic work and why they do what they do.

Hence this explanation.

(See also the article on Carolyn’s website: “The Plan — What Is It?

Within Satan’s overall plan, there are countless smaller plans that he and his spiritual hierarchy are working simultaneously, much like the threads on a spiderweb, in an attempt to pull everything together.

These plans that are being worked are constantly being adjusted to reflect the present needs according to circumstances that arise.

Changes are made to plans.

Parts of plans that aren’t working as well as had been hoped are adjusted to work better, or discarded altogether.

Parts of plans that seem to be working well are amped-up to be more effective.

We hope you get the idea: elements of Satan’s plans are constantly fluctuating, and are up for change at a moment’s notice because they use deception and manipulation, and choose what they believe will be the most effective deception to employ in order to reach whatever short term or long term goal they are working at any given moment.

But here’s something to keep in mind: Satan’s plans change all the time; God’s plan (His Will) does not.

So since there has been a pattern over the past centuries regarding this “three days and nights of darkness,” it seems quite obvious, in our opinion, that Satan and his hierarchy are planning a deception surrounding the Scriptural prophesy spoken of in God’s Word, whereby the sun turns dark and the moon turns red.

It may be a planned event that is separate from what is spoken of in Scripture, and it certainly would be easy for them to pull off a stunt like that.

But it may be something that they will take advantage of when that God-ordained event takes place.

(Assuming, of course, that the Scriptures referring to this event are literal in nature, and not metaphorical; but as I’ve already stated, this is not something that I do not find worthy of debate.)

The demonic certainly want to control the narrative surrounding Biblical prophesies, because it adds confusion to people, particularly self-proclaimed Christians who are “prophesy minded,” because such people are unnaturally and unbiblically focused on prophesy rather than on the Heavenly Father, and are prone to being manipulated through the fear and excitement brought about because of their constant pondering and speculation over prophesy.

(Such people are addicted to fear, because fear brings excitement and an adrenaline high.)

So I see this as being no different concerning the prophesies about the sun turning dark. It seems obvious to me that Satan and his fallen are planning on using their narrative that they have fostered for centuries now, to deceive ignorant and self-proclaimed “Christians” into welcoming the fallen angels, who will be disguised, of course, as “angels of God” that are bringing “protection” and “guidance” during a period of darkness that may or may not last for three days (because ultimately, the actual timing of any such event is controlled by God and not by the demonic).

And from there, such individuals will readily accept an antichrist (perhaps the final Antichrist), believing him to be Jesus Christ who has come down to save them from the hordes of demons that are wreaking havoc on the earth at that time.

Why will Christians accept this?

Because they have been prepared and primed for it through such false prophesies as this “three days and nights of darkness.”

Because they have incrementally, throughout the years, followed and relied upon the lying words of others who are being used by the demonic, rather than followed and relied upon the properly exegeted Word of God.

Because they care more about being heard or seen than they do about accuracy and about putting everything to the test to see whether their word or another’s “prophecy” lines up with the written Word of God.

Because they don’t love God and they don’t love His truth.

Because they are not God-serving, but self-serving, because if they were actually serving God, they would always compare with Scripture and ditch everything that doesn’t line up.

Additionally, when you add in the “manifestation of the son’s of god” garbage (also know as “little gods” or “shining ones”), well, the demonic have been pushing that unbiblical trash for some time now, and as Carolyn and I have already warned, that false doctrine is simply one way for them to get people to accept the control of the fallen, and for some of them, to get used to being completely taken over physically by the fallen.

So it’s not surprising to me to see that false doctrine rear its ugly head in connection with this “three days and nights of darkness,” because it’s obvious that this is at least one of the ways they are working to push forward that particular plan.

Neither one of us have “insider info” about this particular “three days and nights of darkness” plan, but the only “insider info” anyone ever needs anyway is found within the pages of God’s written Word (the Bible).

However, because Carolyn and I have experience with how the demonic work deception, these things are just what seem most obvious to us.

This particular plan (the “three days and nights of darkness”) may change. It may not be accepted as well as they would like, and it might eventually be discarded.

Or the idea may catch on with more and more people, and it may be a plan they end up going with. It all depends upon how willing people are to accept their narrative (their ever-changing “prophesies” that come from the mouths of their false prophets).

Assuming the office of prophet exists within the church today …

(some believe it does not, and I have doubts myself, but for the sake of argument, I will assume for now that it does)

… the true test is not only if their prophecies come to pass, because Satan whispers in the ears of many of those who work for him, sharing parts of his plans which may or may not actually happen.

But the true test of a prophet also considers whether or not their prophecies line up with God’s Word.

The test of a prophet also considers whether or not their prophecies are leading to the truth of God’s Word, or to the lies of Satan’s words.

The test of a prophet also considers whether their prophecies are encouraging you to follow God, or to follow other gods.

The test of a prophet also considers whether they are encouraging you to fear God, or to fear their prophecy.

The test of a prophet also considers whether they are encouraging you to listen to God’s voice, or to listen to their own voice.

Consider this passage of Scripture:

If a prophet or dreamer of dreams arises among you and proclaims a sign or wonder to you, and if the sign or wonder he has spoken to you comes about, but he says, “Let us follow other gods (which you have not known) and let us worship them,” you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. For the LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love Him with all your heart and with all your soul. You are to follow the LORD your God and fear Him. Keep His commandments and listen to His voice; serve Him and hold fast to Him.

Such a prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has advocated rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery; he has tried to turn you from the way in which the LORD your God has commanded you to walk. So you must purge the evil from among you.

Deuteronomy 13:1-6, BSB

(Please note that we are not advocating putting anyone to death. This was Old Testament law, but if this verse is properly exegeted, you will see it was a type and shadow of a basic Biblical principle that Apostle Paul referred to, quoting from this very passage in Deuteronomy, when he admonished the church at Corinth to “expel the wicked man from among you” (1 Corinthians 5:13).

The commands and instructions from God are found within His written Word (the Bible).

Does this prophecy of three days of darkness line up with God’s Word, or is it based upon a lie?

Does it lead you to the truth of God’s Word, or to the lies of the enemy?

Do Linda Courtney and the spiritual being she was channeling encourage you to look to Jesus Christ for salvation, or to the message of three days of darkness?

Do Linda Courtney and the spiritual being she was channeling admonish you to listen to the true voice of God, or do they encourage you to listen to the voice of another?

Do Linda Courtney and the spiritual being she was channeling encourage you to look to the Word of God for the truth, or do they say to not question their message?

Do Linda Courtney and the spiritual being she was channeling admonish you to fear God, or to fear three days of darkness?

If you critically analyze the words Ms. Courtney wrote down and publicly shared, and compare them with what God truly has spoken in His Word (the Bible), the answers to these questions are obvious.

So will you follow after the True God, or will you follow after Linda Courtney and the demonic beings she is channeling?

As a final warning over being deceived and sucked into accepting Satan’s plan, the words of Jesus Christ are better than anything we could ever say or write (emphasis mine):

At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible. So be on your guard; I have told you everything in advance.

Mark 13:21-23, BSB

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 7:15, KJV

And the words of the Apostle Paul:

I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily.

But I will keep on doing what I am doing, in order to undercut those who want an opportunity to be regarded as our equals in the things of which they boast. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 12-15, BSB

And Apostle Paul’s words as recorded in Acts 20 (emphasis mine):

Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood. I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them. Therefore be alert and remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.

Acts 20:28-31, BSB

Don’t be deceived by Satan and his workers of darkness, many of who come disguised as apostles of Christ and as servants of righteousness within our own Christian circles.

Don’t rely on the word of mankind.

Rely on God’s Word.

Don’t fear days of darkness, no matter the number, but fear God.

  2. Thank you to both of you. You are doing important work. In the learning curve of the decade I worked withint David Eels’ Unleavened Bread cult, I learned very well how to discern false prophecy based in Christian Mysticism. I also learned that you cannot get to the truth of Christ by studying evil. The first big red flag I always see is the wordiness, and Thus Sayth The Lord quoting as though that cinches it as truth. I wonder about the sheep who are so easily persuaded by these feel good hooks. Why? Why do so many fall for such stuff? I think back to my first attraction to Eels’ words and I think it was because I was so sick of traditional Christian dogma. Not to mention that he changed over time as he became more well known. That’s another sign.

    1. I fell for it mainly because it’s what I was born into.

I’ve noticed the “thus saith the lord” stuff, too. Thanks for mentioning that. That, and the tendency for “god” to speak in King James vernacular. Just another way the demonic get people to accept their message as being from God, although that tactic has seemed to wane in the recent years, as it seems to be less effective nowadays, at least within certain circles. Now, it seems a “hip and cool” version of “god” is readily acceptable, too. Extra points if the one channeling the message has tattoos, multiple face piercings, smokes, pink hair, or uses foul language extensively.

This is just an observation. Not a condemnation of people who smoke or who have pink hair, or whatever else.

As far as people changing over time, I’ve noticed that too. That’s a big red flag, as you say. Being influenced by the demonic has the tendency to do that to people. They become more and more like Satan, who is their father.

  3. I agree with Rob above. Thanks Loren, for taking the time to reply with extensive, accurate, thorough, wise, Biblical observations. Your input is valuable, and I would be blessed to read, and hear from you more often! God bless. Daryl
