Q&A: The Illuminati and Branham

We’ve received an email from an individual, and what follows is the abridged email and our response.

I have an IMPORTANT QUESTION for Carolyn.

I am a brother in Christ with this one question for you as I believe it to be of utmost importance. From your time in the Illuminati, what do you know that the group knows of William Branham, the man God used to start the Divine healing ministry in 1946 that ignited many ministries of Divine healing post WW2, how much of a threat and impact his ministry had on them, and if they were involved with his death in 1965. I know that he was a great man of God and prophet that God sent to this generation, but I am interested in what the other side knew of him.

Although I, Loren, have written this article, both Carolyn and I have spoken extensively about these topics in general, and specifically about this email, and the following response reflects the thoughts of both of us.

“Former Illuminati”

Carolyn was never in the Illuminati and she is not a “former Illuminati.” Other people have erroneously put that out about her, but Carolyn has described herself as a “former Illumined One.”

An “Illumined One” is NOT the same as “Illuminati.”

Since this is a very common untruth that has been circulated about Carolyn, we’ve recently put up a video about this topic to give a more detailed explanation to people. You can watch the video here:

So to pointedly answer your questions, Carolyn doesn’t know what the Illuminati thought about him, because she wasn’t a member of the Illuminati.

William Branham wasn’t working for God. He was working for Satan. He was one of the people who were used by Lucifer (Satan) to further the charismatic movement, a religious movement that is demonic from its inception.

He was an occultist (a “Christian” occultist, but an occultist nonetheless), not a true, Biblical Christian. But don’t take our word for it. If you do your own honest research, you will see that his doctrine was absolutely unbiblical.

Here are some links to get you started:

This is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED RESOURCE. Even if you don’t read it all, you can read detailed info about Branham, including sources, beginning on page 5. This should be enough to steer you away from Branham and people who align their doctrines with his heresies.

This is a short printout that gives a quick overview.

This is not the strongest source, in my opinion, but this article is short enough to quickly get the basics.

Again, not the strongest source, in my opinion, mainly because there is not enough commentary on this page to warn the reader that what Branham was involved in was not Scriptural! For instance, the writers mention about Branham’s so-called “angel,” but they failed to point out to the reader that the “angel” was a demonic being that Branham was channeling. If you don’t understand why I say that he was channeling a demonic being, go back to the basics of Scripture. (Also, Carolyn and I covered this topic in our book.)

Even still, this page provides a lot of details about Branham’s life that the discerning Christian will notice do not line up with God’s Word!

Carolyn and I also wrote a book that gives very detailed explanation from our perspective about how Satan has used the charismatic movement (a movement that was begun by the demonic themselves!) to infiltrate Christianity. Please read it.

Other very informative books to read include the late Kurt Koch’s books on the topic of the occult, including his insight on Branham. You will find a list of the book we recommend at the following page:

Scriptures for Contemplation

If you don’t read anything else that we’ve suggested to you, please, at the very least, read and study the meaning of these Scriptures!

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and false wonder, and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie, in order that judgment will come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness.

2 Corinthians 11:4, 13-15

For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.

Galatians 1:6-9

I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ.

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a divine curse! As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you embraced, let him be under a divine curse!

Don’t allow yourself to be fooled by signs and wonders.

Don’t allow yourself to be fooled by the demonic who will appear as beautiful angels of light.

Don’t allow yourself to be taken away from the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ and led astray by doctrines of demons.

I pray you come to know the Truth as you walk in submission to the will of the Father and in obedience to His Word.

  1. Hi Lauren and Carolyn. I have a question about “charasmatic” chuches. Is this the same as a pentecostal church are is the charasmatic movement different? I have attended a pentecostal church
since the late 80’s and have a wonderful relationship with Jesus. Yes the church has messages in tongues with interpretation, words of knowledge, and all that pentecostal churches do, depending on what is happening in the service. Is this the same as the charasmatic movement?

    1. Hi Lori,

Thanks for your question. There are different types of churches who would consider themselves to be “pentecostal.” There are many offshoots, and it’s confusing (in my opinion) to try to keep up with all the ins and outs of the individual belief systems that are taught within each church. Personally speaking, the Father delivered me from what is called the Apostolic churches, as well as churches who were affiliated with UPCI (United Pentecostal Church International). The denominations I grew up in are also described as “holiness” or “oneness” or “Jesus name” churches, although the the “holiness” standards often vary, depending upon the church you belong to. It also appears that the official stance of the UPCI has become less dogmatic concerning “getting the Holy Ghost,” which can be basically explained that unless one speaks in tongues, they are not saved and they are going to hell. Although, I would be shocked if the more official stance has actually translated to individual churches changing their teachings or relaxing their standards on what they consider to be a Biblical view of salvation…. but I really can’t say for sure. It could be that the “official stance” has always been what they claim it to be now; but it certainly wasn’t taught that way in the UPCI churches I attended growing up!

There are other denominations that consider themselves to be “pentecostal,” as well, but who have no recognized affiliation with UPCI. Regardless, they all do stem from the charismatic movement. “Pentecostalism” in all its forms is rooted in the charismatic movement, although the churches I grew up in refused to acknowledge this well-documented and historic fact.

A good paper you can read to research about the origins of Pentecostalism can be found here: http://www.understanding-ministries.com/p/774062/the-origins-of-pentecostalism (it’s a PDF download).

Thanks again for your question! 🙂 ❤

      1. Wow, thank you for your very quick response. I love all that you and Carolyn do to expose the dark plan and lead people to the truth of Jesus Christ. Many blessings to you both.

  2. Dear Carolyn and Grace,
First thank-you for exposing the works of darkness. I too was programmed, and unfortunately reprogrammed after I came into various churches and so-called ministries in this area. I still disconnect-a lot! I looked up your link on dominion theology and the unscriptual beliefs concerning the millennial reign. Frankly, I do not remember whether I saved the link. Would you consider either putting it up here or sending it to me. Thank-you.
    In His Service,

  3. Dearest Carolyn,
I have a question regarding the type of church you attend? I want you to know your testimony is so very powerful in so many ways and I would like to say thank you for being a brave warrior. Also, I have some questions on a particular subject and would like it to be discussed in a private way. Possibly an email?

Thanks for your service in Christ

    Lynn T
