In part 6 of “Deliverance and Spiritual Warfare 101,” we continue our talk about getting “back to the basics” of Scripture to find deliverance and healing.
In this video, we discuss our journey of finding deliverance and healing through submission to God.
We speak from our point of view as survivors of abuse, particularly mind control agendas, and although we have tried to discuss these issues with compassion and care, the topic submission to God may be triggering to some survivors. If you find yourself becoming triggered, please stop watching and tend to your immediate needs.

Even those who have had no life-altering traumatic injuries — whether emotional, mental, spiritual, physical, or sexual — will often have a natural aversion to submission to God. It’s just human nature to want to do our own thing and to be in control of our own life.
However, those of us who have had trauma injuries because of going through such abuses will often have a visceral and painful reaction to hearing about submission to God. This is because oftentimes, “submission” has been used as a weapon against us, sometimes coupled with Scripture that has been horribly twisted out of context, to force us into an unhealthy and ungodly submission to abusive people who have damaged our body, mind, and spirit.
Ultimately, however, submission to God is an integral part of our spiritual warfare, and it is impossible to find freedom and deliverance without submitting to the authority and to the will of the Father. So it is no wonder that the demonic work overtime to cause people to want to avoid submission to God!
For those who have been injured by a false and ungodly submission, it is very important to understand that submission to the true God is not submitting to abusive people or to an abusive false god. But when you submit to the will of the Heavenly Father, you start to follow down the path that He has for your life.
And an amazing thing happens when you submit to God: you begin come into alignment with His plan for your life, and this start to bring a meaning and a reason for the suffering you have gone through.
⇒ Romans 8:28: “And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.” (BSB)
All things — not just the future things that will happen, but even the bad things in the past!
Submission to the true God eliminates the power that fear has over you.
- You are no longer afraid of the present, because you are submitted to the One who guides you through each day.
- You are no longer afraid of the future, because you are submitted to the One who holds the future, and you are submitted to His plan for your life.
- You are no longer afraid of the past, because you are submitted to the One who is bringing you healing from the past, and to the One who is creating something meaningful and beautiful out of all the pain and chaos you have been through.
Submission to God and to His plan involves being obedient to His Word, and this is a daily activity. Submission begins at salvation when we come under His authority, and it continues throughout our life. If you have other parts of you (alters), them submit yourself to God and submit every part of yourself to God, and do this on a daily basis.
(Personally, I [Loren] speak this every morning when I first awake: “Heavenly Father, today I submit myself to Your will, and I submit every part of me to Your will. Help me to be obedient to Your Word today.”)
⇒ James 4:7 — “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (BSB)
